What is Celly?

Celly lets you quickly group people and topics into cells.

Cells function as chatrooms where people communicate instantly via text-based messaging. Cells can also include messages from the web or other social networks.

Anybody can easily create, join, and discover cells by sending text messages to 23559 (which spells Celly). Group membership and message content can be moderated for security and relevancy. Cells can be private or public and organized by name, topic, and geography.

Additionally, when you are using Celly group texting, your phone number remains private at ALL times.

This makes Celly a great tool for large groups that need to coordinate, but also need user privacy (schools, community events, sports teams, clubs, large businesses, etc.). For instance, you can use Celly group texting to broadcast alerts, promote events, administer classrooms, enhance mobile learning, gather feedback, or just to keep in contact with your friends and family. For more suggestions, visit the "Texting Playbook" section of our help page.

Note: if you are trying to JOIN another cell, then you probably want to start with this guide: How to Join a Cell.
