Is Cel.ly only available in the USA? Are there plans on bringing this great service to Canada? Any timelines for this happening?

Me too on wanting to use it in Canada. I'd set things up this morning so I could try it out on a field trip but found that the number was unavailable for SMS in Canada (which kind of defeats the purpose of the site :(
PS I see that you use Twitter as an authentication mechanism. You could try to find out how they provide service to Canadian Twitter users and try to emulate their model of making money (I imagine they get a cut of SMS fees or something like that). If you're not quick on the ball there's a chance that someone else will enter the Canadian market and beat you to this sort of ad hoc social network on SMS (and, yes, Canada is 1/10th of the US in terms of population but that still means the country as a whole is as big a market as California... nothing to sneeze at... especially so given that competition tends to be somewhat less fierce than in the US since there are fewer entrants into various markets so you can capture a larger market share if you set up shop here).
