Allow Moderator permission to be assigned to Curated Chat cells

I have a number of groups setup with cascading hashtags. All the groups are owned by a single user

One of my sub groups is set to Curated Chat mode. It is used as a impromptu meet-up group, but needs to be moderated to avoid excessive messages.

The person who is responsible for moderating the group will change relatively frequently.

I would like the ability to assign moderation permission for this specific cell to a specific user, while the group itself is still owned by the creating user.

If that is too complex, I would like the ability to assign a different user as the administrator of this specific cell, with the ability for them to easily assign it to the next user when the responsible person changes.

It appears that the only way to accomplish this presently is to create a new user dedicated to being the owner of this Curated Chat cell, but that seems to invite a whole host of problems, the first being that I assume there cannot be two users with the same phone number, thus the moderator could not have messages awaiting approval sent to their phone if they had another personal account.

Thanks

Hi Brian,

Thanks for sharing your feature request with us. I think this is actually fairly simple: If you go to the "manage members" page of the cell, you can click "add curator" and that person will become a curator for the cell. You can have many curators, and you can add/remove them at any time. Only the admin can do this. Does this work for you?

That is what I was looking for. I am in the process of setting up the cells so I don't actually have any members yet and thus didn't stumble across the feature.

One issue I see is that it is difficult to test celly as I have only one cellphone number. Some way to use test accounts, or easier method of feature discovery would be welcome.

We have been talking about ways to do this (simulate other users). Thanks for your feedback and for checking us out. Email support@cel.ly if you need anything in the future, that is usually the fastest way to get ahold of us.
